Keeping Ivins Clean and Responsible

Ivins City partners with Washington County Solid Waste District (WCSWD) to provide residential curbside garbage and recycling services that are clean, reliable, and environmentally responsible. Our solid waste program helps protect public health, reduce illegal dumping, and support long-term sustainability through waste diversion and recycling.

Trash collection in Ivins is provided on a weekly schedule, and most homes are equipped with one or more 90-gallon wheeled containers.

Curbside Garbage Service

Collection Day: Trash is collected once per week on Mondays.
Set-out Time: Place your container at the curb by 6:00 AM on collection day, with the lid closed and the can facing the street.
Missed Pickup? Call the the District’s contractor Republic Services at (435)-773-4973 within 24 hours of your service day to report a missed collection.
Can is missing or damaged? Call WCSWD at 435-673-2813 or fill our their Online Form (link) to get assistance for the replacement or repair.

Guidelines:

Do not overfill cans or place trash on top of the lid.
Leave at least 3 feet of clearance between the can and other objects (cars, mailboxes, other cans).
Bag loose trash to prevent litter and wind-blown debris.
Do not place hazardous waste, electronics, dirt, hot ashes, or construction debris in the can.
Recyclables are collected every other week on the same day as your garbage. See calander for schedule. (link)
Acceptable materials include cardboard, paper, metal cans, and #1/#2 plastic bottles.
Contaminated or non-recyclable items (e.g., plastic bags, food waste, glass, Styrofoam) should not be placed in the blue recycling bin.

Additional Services:

Dumpsters - The City provides dumpsters on Saturdays at least once per month for green waste and bulk items. Check the City’s calendar (link) for the next date. The dumpsters are located at 400 N 100 W.
